Tim Dickson presents on the Supreme Court of Canada’s physician-assisted dying decision

Farris litigation partner Tim Dickson presented at a conference organized by Dying with Dignity and Choice in Dying (Victoria) on the implications of the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision in the Carter case, in which the Court legalized physician-assisted dying in some circumstances. In the Carter litigation, Mr. Dickson represented the Canadian Unitarian Council, which intervened at all levels of court to support the plaintiffs’ case to remove the absolute ban on physician-assisted dying. Farris lawyers Joseph J. Arvay, Q.C. and Alison Latimer represented the plaintiffs.
