Ron Murray and Thierry Keable Act for Potash One in $434M Friendly Takeover by K+S Aktiengesellshaft

Ron Murray and Thierry Keable are acting for Vancouver-based Potash One Inc. in connection with K+S Aktiengesellshaft’s $434 million all cash, supported take-over bid.

TSX-listed Potash One holds several potash exploration licenses in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, with the most advanced being the Legacy Project. The Legacy Project, which would require a capital investment of approximately US$2.5 billion to develop, will be the first new potash mine built in Saskatchewan in 40 years.

Partner Ron Murray is leading the Farris team, which includes partners Mark Chu (Tax) and David Selley (Competition and Regulatory Compliance), together with associates Thierry Keable, Bo Rothstein, Victor Tsao, James Matthews and Stephanie Daniels, as well as articled students Sunny Aujla and Chris Walker. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2011.
