Farris represents British Columbia Discovery Fund in $25million Avigilon IPO

Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP acted as lead counsel on behalf of British Columbia Discovery Fund (VCC) Inc. (“BCDF”) whose portfolio company Avigilon Corporation recently completed an initial public offering of 5.55 million common shares at a price of $4.50 per share, for gross proceeds of $25 million.

BC Discovery Fund was a selling shareholder and sold 1.0 million of its Avigilon shares (realizing a gain of $3.23 million net of commissions), and has further agreed to potentially sell up to another 150,000 shares. The Fund also elected to purchase 500,000 shares issued by Avigilon under the IPO.
