Farris LLP: Vancouver's Law Firm

17 December 2013

Farris Lawyers and Staff Give Generously this Holiday Season

The end of 2013 marks the end of another busy fundraising season at Farris. This year’s United Way campaign raised $155,000 for community services in Victoria, Kelowna and Vancouver.

The firm also raised $4,500 for the Canadian Red Cross for Typhoon Haiyan relief effort, which will be matched by both the provincial and federal governments.

Our Greater Vancouver Food Bank drive collected $1,800 in donations and six boxes of food to assist those in need.

And finally, Farris participated in the Salvation Army’s “Adopt-a-Family” program.  The families available for adoption through this program are experiencing financial difficulties and are in need of food, clothing, and basic household items.  Each family creates a Christmas wish list and is matched with a volunteer donor team who collect gifts and funds of their behalf. This year, Farris helped a family of seven celebrate the season, collecting $3,000 to purchase gifts for under their tree.

Happy Holidays from everyone at Farris!
