James Hatton Closes Largest Biotech Partnership Deal in Canadian History
Today, Farris partner James Hatton assisted his client Cardiome Pharma Corp. to close the largest biotechnology partnership deal in Canadian history. Cardiome Pharma Corp. and Merck & Co., Inc. today announced a partnership agreement for the development and commercialization of Vernakalant, an investigational candidate for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Under the agreement, Cardiome is eligible to receive up to $1 billion plus royalties on future product sales making this the largest biotechnology partnership deal in Canadian history.
