Mr. Dawson is a partner in the litigation department and a trial lawyer with significant experience in a broad range of commercial disputes.

He regularly appears before British Columbia Courts and tribunals as part of his business-focussed civil litigation practice.  His cases have covered a wide variety of issues in corporate and commercial litigation including directors’ fiduciary duties, class actions, international and domestic agency disputes, shareholder disputes and corporate reorganizations. 

Mr. Dawson also has considerable experience resolving disputes involving real estate transactions, professional negligence claims, workplace disputes and a broad array of media matters, including crisis management. 

Mr. Dawson is recognized as one of Canada’s leading practitioners in the areas of alternative dispute resolution, defamation and media law by the peer-review publication “The Best Lawyers in Canada.”
