Kevin has a broad litigation and disputes resolution practice. He is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales, and previously practiced in London with a large international law firm where alongside general commercial litigation work he developed a particular focus on public law matters, including human rights and civil liberties cases. He has acted for clients in matters before the European Court of Human Rights and the High Court of England & Wales, including the Commercial Court and the Financial List.

Prior to joining Farris, Kevin’s recent public law matters included acting in a number of processes for the parents of a deceased British serviceman who died in suspicious circumstances, advising the organising committee of a major international sporting event in relation to Business & Human Rights issues, and advising an Indian manufacturer in relation to its response to allegations by an NGO that human rights violations had occurred at one of the company’s sites.

In the area of commercial litigation, Kevin acted as a member of the team which represented Citigroup in the bank’s successful defence against a £2 billion claim brought by Terra Firma in the English Commercial Court in relation to the sale of EMI, and on behalf of an international bank in a US$650 million claim concerning a complex Shari’ah-compliant financing issued in Bahrain in 2007 by a Saudi borrower.
