Bijan Ahmadian joined Farris as an Articled Student in 2012 after completing a combined J.D./M.B.A and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, Bijan obtained a Certificate in Conflict Resolution (Negotiation) from the Justice Institute of B.C.

During his tenure at UBC, Bijan served three terms on the UBC Senate, two terms on the UBC Board of Governors and one term as the President of the Alma Mater Society ($31m revenue, 600+ employees, representing about fifty thousand students).  Under his leadership as President, the AMS signed a agreement with UBC for a new $103m Student Union Building. Bijan was also the co-founder of a successful Information Technology start-up business in Vancouver. In addition, Bijan has been recognized for his active leadership role behind community-building events such as the YouTube UBC LipDub as well as UBC’s Got Talent – drawing on his deep passion for arts, especially dance. Bijan is also fluent in Farsi/Persian.

Bijan’s mentors are Mitchell H. Gropper, Q.C. and Timothy Louman-Gardiner.
