Lawyers
Rob Anderson practises as general counsel. He regularly appears in court in cases that involve a wide variety of areas of law, including corporate, commercial, media, environmental, constitutional, criminal, securities, expropriation, and family matters. Rob also frequently appears on behalf of clients before administrative tribunals and on administrative law matters both in the Provincial Superior Courts and in the Federal Court of Canada. He has both appeared before and/or conducted judicial review proceedings of decisions from a wide spectrum of statutory decision makers including the British Columbia Securities Commission, discipline panels of the VSE/CDNX, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the British Columbia Workers’ Compensation Board, the National Energy Board, the British Columbia Motor Carrier Commission, the British Columbia Expropriation Board, various expropriation authorities, municipal governments, Ministers of the Crown, Extradition Judges and Immigration Adjudicators. Rob has also represented clients in both arbitrations and mediations. Rob has represented various levels of government and other public bodies including the Provincial Government of British Columbia, the Greater Vancouver Regional District, the City of Vancouver, the Municipality of Richmond and the Motor Carrier Commission of British Columbia. Rob is a member of the Vancouver and Canadian Bar Associations, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and a past member of the Vancouver Bar Executive. Rob teaches a seminar course in advanced administrative law and is a participant in an advocacy course at the University of British Columbia law school. He is also a lecturer at a variety of courses offered by the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia.
