Peter acts as a corporate counsel to a number of public and private companies in diverse industries, providing day to day advice on a broad range of corporate matters and ongoing securities law obligations.

Peter also has an extensive transactional practice, having advised on numerous acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity financings, proxy battles, supported and unsupported takeover bids, plans of arrangement, restructurings and share exchanges.

Peter is the immediate past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Securities Law Section (BC) and is also on the Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth. Peter is also Chair of Farris’ Securities and Public Markets Group meetings.

Peter also serves on an advisory committee of the Canadian Cancer Society, and has been a counsellor at Camp Goodtimes since 1999. Peter is fluent in English and French, having spent his first four years of practice in the Montreal office of two prominent national law firms.
