Mark is both a lawyer and a chartered accountant. He practises in all aspects of Canadian taxation including initial public offerings, financings, mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and dispute resolution. He has worked in a wide variety of industries, including retail, distribution and logistics, sports, hospitality and entertainment, international shipping, real estate, high technology, biotechnology, and alternative energy. His clients range from high net worth individuals, privately held companies, private equity to multi-national public companies. Prior to joining Farris, Mark was a tax partner with an international firm of Chartered Accountants. He has also practised tax law at a national tax boutique, and corporate and commercial law at a large Vancouver law firm.
